Daylighting and Energy Management

VANCOUVER, BC – Intelligent Living Technologies, Inc. and MechoSystems, Inc. New York held an informative session last week for architects, designers, and builders on daylighting and energy management solutions.

MechoSystems, the world’s largest, single-source manufacturer of solar shading and automated systems, provided an educational session and demonstration on SolarTrac®, the state-of-the-art, adaptive automated window covering technology.

SolarTrac® fosters energy savings in buildings by maximizing the amount of daylight and views to outside.  It protects occupants from brightness, glare, and the uncomfortable effects of solar-heat gain and reduces the need for artificial light and air conditioning, thereby providing a more energy-efficient, sustainable environment.

Successful installations of SolarTrac include; The New York Times Headquarters Building, the LEED Platinum-rated U.S. Green Building Council headquarters in Washington, D.C., California’s recently upgraded Gregory Bateson State Office Building.
